The recording company was officially launched in 2004 by two best friends; international soccer ace Mohamed Kallon and US Sierra Leonean returnee; Music & Entertainment guru Abu Bakarr Konteh – a.k.a DJ BOXX or just BOXX as he is now fondly referred to. This occasion was graced by the erstwhile president of Sierra Leone – Alhaji Dr. Ahmed Tejan Kabba.

In keeping with the labels resolute quest for excellence thereby demonstrating consistency; KALLBOXX continues to ooze out big hits in and out of holiday seasons with a fresh lineup of the new age stars Angie, Simple and awarding winning singer ALONZO who performed at the 2009 MTV AFRICA music awards held in Kenya.

Recently, the parent company for KALLBOXX records BOXXGROUP OF COMPANIES made a huge leap to fill the demanding and necessary promotional gap that for so long stunted the international growth of Sierra Leonean music.
